Warm washes, soft edges, classic bedtime feel.

Soft Watercolor — Translucent washes bleed gently into cold-pressed paper, with delicate ink lines and quiet shadows. The calmest of the seven — perfect for sleepy bedtime reading and for families who love traditional picture books. This style is used for all 24 pages, the A4 download and any printed copies, and is locked once drawing starts.
The face is drawn in your chosen style on every page — never a cut-out photo. Pay only if you love the preview; then we finish all 24 pages and give you a print-ready A4 file.

A storybook for your child
Every kite comes down eventually. This one had other ideas. In MeStory's personalised edition your own child is the hero of all 24 pages. The book opens: On festival day the hill was covered in kites and cheerful shouting. Your child had built one from red paper, two sticks, and a lot of hope. It went up on the first run, which almost never happens.
Halfway through the book the adventure turns: The red kite went on alone, getting smaller and smaller. Everyone on the hill stopped to watch it disappear into the blue. It felt like losing something, and also like giving a gift.
It closes gently, ready for bedtime: He had used the kite to teach his daughter how to fly one. So the kite did come down — just somewhere else, for someone else.
Ages 4–8. It is a 24-page picture book with one or two short sentences per page, written to be read aloud in about ten minutes at bedtime.
You upload one clear photo and type your child's name. MeStory illustrates every page with your child's likeness and prints their name into the text, so the story reads "On festival day the hill was covered in kites and cheerful shouting."
